Requirements from Mare Owners

Requirements from Mare Owners:

  • A Veterinary certificate stating that the mare has had a negative E.I.A.(Swamp Fever) Blood Sample (taken after 1st January in the covering year, ideally within 28 days prior to covering)

  • A Veterinary Certificate stating that the mare has a negative EVA Blood Sample (taken after 1st January in the covering year, ideally within 28 days prior to covering)

    Both the EVA test and one EIA Test may be carried out from the same blood sample.

  • A Veterinary Certificate stating that the mare is negative on one Clitoral Swab (taken after 1st January in the covering year) for C.E.M

  • Veterinary Certificate stating that the mare has had a negative Endometrial/Cervical swab (taken ‘in oestrus’ after 1st January in the covering year)

  • The Passport of the mare. (EU Regulations state that all horses in transit must be accompanied by their passport)
