Boardsmill Stud was founded in 1935 by the late Jack
Flood, father of the current owner William Flood. Located four miles
west of Trim in Co.Meath and by the banks of the River Boyne, Boardsmill
Stud is set on some of the finest farm land in Ireland - in an area
steeped in Horse Racing and Breeding history.

Boardsmill Stud is a privately
owned, family run stud where breeders and buyers alike are always
guaranteed a warm welcome and personalised service. All visiting
mares and foals are treated with the utmost care by our experienced
staff and attention to detail is always at the forefront of the
day to day running of our Stud.
Throughout
its existence, Boardsmill Stud has always operated on the
principle that quality is far more important to the National Hunt
Breeder than quantity. This principle is a lot more relevant in
this modern day of overproduction, and in recognition of breeders
concerns about overproduction - current sires Kalanisi
and Court Cave will cover a select
book of mares each year.
We would like to thank all our loyal patrons who
have supported Boardsmill Sires and bought Boardsmill stock down
through the years and acknowledge the major part they have played
in putting Boardsmill Stud on the map and to all potential
patrons, we look forward to seeing you in the coming year.
