1st Crop 4yo Point Point to Winner for Kalanisi

Multiple Grade 1 sire Kalanisi, sired a 4 year old maiden Point to Point winner from his first National Hunt Crop at Loughanmore on Easter Monday.

The Warren Ewing owned and trained Davy Doubt scored by 3 lengths, 5 lengths and 25 lengths from representatives in the colours of formidable point to point owners Wilson Dennison, Gigginstown House Stud and Ronnie Bartlett.

Bred by Boardsmill Stud, Davy Doubt is a son of Trompe L’Oeil who was placed on the flat as a two year old.

From his first four point to point runners from his first national hunt crop, Kalanisi has now sired a winner and two seconds. As well as Davy Doubt, he also sired the eyecatching Monksgrange runner-up Mister Kalanisi on Easter Sunday. The Donnchadh Doyle trained gelding finished a length second to the Colin Bowe trained Desoto County. He has also sired another runner up in the shape of the John Paul Brennan Skip A Beat Kid, runner up at Lingstown to the impressive Wrath Of Titans.

On the racecourse, his first NH runners are also impressing. Again, from his first four bumper runners, he has sired a winner and two placed horses.
