STOP PRESS- 2 more impressive Point winners for
The highflying COURT CAVE sired two highly impressive 5yo gelding
Point to Point winners over the weekend- both on their debuts.
First up was Clondaw Court at Largy on April 21st. This
5yo son of the winning Jurado mare Secret Cant Say ran out
a 15 length winner in the hands of Barry ONeill.
Trained by Colin Bowe for his pre trainer Michael Goff, this imposing
sort was purchased at last years August Sale for €8,000.
He was bred by Mrs Dorothy De Stacpoole who has been a loyal supporter
of Boardsmill over the years this is the 2nd winner out of the mare
from her first two runners. Secret Cant Say is due to foal
to Court Cave again in 2012.
On Sunday 22nd at the Meath & Tara fixture at Tattersalls,
it was the turn of Liberty Court to continue the good recent
run of form for Court Cave. This 5yo was making his debut in the
hands of Jamie Codd and put in an almost faultless round of jumping
and kept on best on the run in. This really good looking sort was
bred by Alastair Thompson from Co. Down who also bred another Court
Cave winning pointer this season in Joseph Mercer, who is now with
Phillip Hobbs. Liberty Court probably wont be in the hands
of Mr Thomas Finbarr Lacy for much longer as he is sure
to attract a lot of interest from prospective buyers.
