Kalanisi covers full book of mares

Kalanisi has covered a full book of 150 mares again in 2009. Standing his 2nd season at Boardsmill Stud, Kalanisi has again proved to be extremely fertile.

Included among the many quality mares tested in foal this season is Miracle, the dam of Kalanisi’s Champion Hurdle winner Katchit. Also in foal to Kalanisi are the dams of leading hurdler Whatuthink, Irish Grand National winner Niche Market and the dam of Kalanisi’s Grade 2 winning juvenile hurdler Kyrie Eleison.

Amongst the high class race mares in foal are Sweet Kiln, Grangeclare Lark, Nas Na Riogh and Howaya Pet.

The list of well related mares featuring in Kalanisi’s ’09 book is equally impressive. Amongst them are sisters of Grade 1 winners Our Vic, Granville Again and Morley Street, Alexander Banquet, Fundamentalist, Solerina, Say Again and a half sister to Aintree Grand National winner Comply or Die.

Kalanisi has been enjoying a tremendous run of success with his progeny under both codes on the racetrack recently. He sired 3 winners in England on Friday 31st July and almost completed a four timer when Rajik was beaten a short head in the feature event at Galway on the same day. He will be represented at the foal sales later this year by some exceptional foals from his first Boardsmill crop.
