Court Cave sires his first winner

Boardsmill sire Court Cave sired his landmark first winner at Southwell today (December 2nd). Glan Lady recorded an emphatic victory in the ‘southwell-racecourse.co.uk’ stakes race for 2 year olds.

The post race analysis from www.racingpost.com highlighted the ease of her victory stating ‘…Glan Lady was out on her own coming to final furlong and was able to take things easily in the end.’

Appropriately enough, Glan Lady was bred by Boardsmill Stud and is the second foal out of the winning Fayruz mare ‘Vanished’. Glan Lady’s 1 year old full brother is due to come under the hammer at the December Flat Sale at Tattersalls Ireland on December 16th.

Glan Lady is Court Cave’s only runner to date in 2008. His first crop are just 3 year olds and are mostly National Hunt bred stock.

Court Cave is a regally bred son of Sadlers Wells as he is out of the Champion Filly Wemyss Bight and is a full brother to Group 1 producing sire Beat Hollow. He is also very closely related to the highly successful young sire Oasis Dream.

Court Cave’s fee for 2009 is €1.500 Oct 1st terms.
