1st Crop Success for Beat Hollow

Court Cave’s full brother Beat Hollow sired his 1st winner on Thursday of last week (13 July 2006). Charlotte O Fraise was the impressive winner of the Prix de Bertinval over 6 furlongs on her debut, beating 3 previous winners in the process. The Robert Collet trained filly was bred by Mrs C Harrington and realised €28,000 at last year’s Goffs yearling sales.

Beat Hollow has made a flying start with his initial racecourse runners. From his first 5 runners he has also sired the Alan Jarvis trained Love On Sight who was beaten by just 1 length into 3rd place at Newbury over 6 furlongs on her only start to date and also the Khalid Abdullah owned Beat Out who was beaten just ¾ length into 3rd place over 6 furlongs in Maison Lafittes on her second start having finished 4th on her debut.

A further boost to Court Cave’s pedigree was received on Friday when the Andre Fabre trained colt Bellamy Cay ran out an impressive winner of the Group 2 Prix Maurice de Nieuil at Longchamp. Ridden by Kieren Fallon, the Kris colt now has won 6 races from 10 starts to date. Bellamy Cay is out of a Sadlers Wells sister of Wemyss Bight (dam of Court Cave and Beat Hollow).
